Flip Flap Mini Album

Happy Birthday Terry!!  The card is going to arrive late, so I'm posting this a bit early!!

When I was assembling a list of friend's and relative's birthdays, I decided to add the members of my blog.  There was one name who was unfamiliar to me.  Yup, just one!!  So, instead of being sneaky, I wrote to her via her wonderful blog: Terry Anne Diack:  It's My Garage - I Can Craft in It!  You've got to check it out, if you don't already follow it.  This is one crafty lady!

Anyway, I wrote to her and we've become random friends.  I have learned through her blog that she loves mini albums, so I made her Sara Batkin's wonderful Flip Flap mini album.  Sara gave me permission to do a blog on the assembly of her Tru Fit File Folio Album - which I will be doing soon.  This one is a bit more complicated, and if you go to Sara's blog, you will see that she has added even more to hers!

So, this is what I came up with for Terry:

The Sonoma My Stickease are still available for a great price on the
"While Supplies Last" section of my website.
Check it out by clicking on the graphic on the upper-right corner of this blog.

This mini album is truly mini - measuring 4"X4".  If you know that sticker, it puts it into perspective!!

As you open this album, crazy things start happening.  It just seems to keep unfolding and getting bigger (not unlike the TARDIS or a Bag of Holding).

See what I mean?  Where did that come from?

This next photo shows the back, and the attachment of the ribbon.

The first time I saw one of these albums, it was a 3"X3"!!  I flipped!!  I've also made many 6"X6"s.  I will never get tired of this design.  It is inspired!!

  2. At times, I think I am 100% Ukrainian. Just went to the mail today (Oct 24) and found this wonderful surprise. Thank you so much. It really was a surprise, because I haven't had much time lately to check out other blogs, or update my own.
    Again, thank you.

    1. Hi Christina!! This is Sara Batkin's design. I need to get her permission to show the assembly on my blog. You can look at more of these mini albums on her blog, but she doesn't have a tutorial either. I will be seeing her next month, so I will get back to you. Meanwhile, she did say that I can show how to make the Tru-Fit File Folio Album, so I will post about that soon. Tru-Fit post found here: http://karencreate.blogspot.com/2012/09/superhero-mini-album-intended-for.html
